What are SqualoNet?

SqualoNet have the feel of curtains with the versatility of blinds

The soft fabric hangs beautifully. There are no weights or chains so you can walk through them anywhere, whether they’re opened or closed – they just sway out of the way and settle back perfectly. This makes them perfect for creating a soft feature across a large opening. SqualoNet can span up to six metres.

SqualoNet are made from a wonderfully soft fabric with alternating opaque folds.

With the new unique patented designed SqualoNet you can have the elegance and versatility of a sheer and the privacy of a curtain. With the turn of a wand you can easily adjust the SqualoNet to control and adjust light levels depending on the position of the sun, or privacy required.

* Turn the wand one way and the opaque fabrics provides privacy and light blocking.
* Turn the wand the other way and the mesh fabric lets more light through.
* Open the folds halfway for filtered light.
* Draw your SqualoNet right back like curtains for full sunlight.

SqualoNet use a single track, giving you more space in your rooms and only taking up half the space to achieve the same results from curtains.

The fabric folds are soil resistant and can be easily taken down and individually washed, or replaced in a matter of seconds.

The fabric is UV stabilised so it is resistant to fading. Fire retardant SqualoNet are also available. There is no PVC or filler in SqualoNet.

We loved the recent kids room reveal by Hannah and Clint. As pictured is the Slate #VeriShades which is perfect for any kids room!

Window dressings are always such an important part of finishing off a room, and we are pleased that Hannah & Clint chose SqualoNet. They were recently quoted saying “we absolutely love SqualoNet and we cannot recommend them enough” on a recent live video streamed on Instagram.

We look forward to future room reveals and to see what window furnishings are selected along the way. Go Hannah & Clint!

5 Reasons why #VeriShades are perfect for your home

why SqualoNet are perfect for your home

There are so many reasons we struggled to choose just 5!

1. Style, Shades are quickly becoming a tour-de-force in Australian Window fashion. Their sleek modern look that seamlessly flows into a vintage, warm curtain feel has already begun a window ware revolution from the harsh lines and cold exterior of shutters and blinds.

2. High Quality Fabrics,
Too often Blinds and curtains can only be opened or closed, however with SqualoNet we are given the opportunity to simply change between both. By turning the Child Safe wand we can turn the wonderfully soft 100% Polyester fabric from open to closed. The Fabric can be easily removed ( without replacing the entire blind ) and simply washed. Making it perfect for that sliding door that people are going in and out of.

Child friendly SqualoNet

3. Child Safe,
No cords, No Chains, No worries! Wand or motor controlled, SqualoNet were designed with Children in mind. Window furnishing safety has changed significantly in the past two decades and that is why SqualoNet have no cords and don’t get tangled. They are also resistant to dirt and soiling making them kid and pet proof.

4. Functional and versatile,
You can even walk through it! . SqualoNet have a patented design that allows each fold to fall on its own, therefore making it easy to breeze past them as they fall back into place. The also are easily moved in and out of your windows and doors so you can have that full view back when ever you like!

5. Plenty of choice
With 2 different net styles along with new colours set to be released along with BlockOut fabrics, Veri shades boast an ever increasing range of choice and style. Decorative tracking allows SqualoNet to look like a curtain and fit seamlessly into any home! Jump online to see the entire range.

SqualoNet Red Wine Test

We wanted to show our growing group of loyal Veri Shade supporters just how durable and high quality the fabric of our SqualoNet actually is.

Sourcing three bottles of  gorgeous red wine from the guys @TheWineGallery we decided to soak an Ivory plain Veri Shade in copious amounts of Red Wine.

(If you are fond of drinking every drop….we advise you not to watch the video below!)

We tossed it on the SqualoNet as hard and fast from every angle we could. It got drenched.

To be fair to our audience we wanted to let it dry for 45 minutes, just allowing the Red Wine to dry into the fabric making it even more difficult to get out.

Using a little more than we probably should we sprayed each 100% Polyester fold with Vanish Napi San and then placed them all into the same bucket….just for good measure adding a little more Vanish !

We left the Red Wine soaked SqualoNet in the bucket for 20 Minutes and the results were astonishing.

Bridge to 2030 by the SqualoNet team

Bridge to 2030

Thursday 18th May 2017 the SqualoNet team climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge in an effort to raise much needed funding for breast Cancer research.

Collectively throughout the day NBCFA raised over $160,000 for vital research that is needed to reach the companies goal of 0 deaths by 2030.

The SqualoNet team raised over $10,000 for the cause, with each of the team members raising at least $800 each!

It was an early morning start and as we headed into the city to find our meeting point and take some group shots before we headed up the iconic bridge.

I took the opportunity to ask Alexandra one of the Veri Shade team members how she was feeling pre-climb “I am actually scared of heights, so I am a bit nervous….The other guys in our team have been really nice to me, but I am still getting a bit freaked out. I just want it to be over with”

Alexandra felt that by facing her fears it would be rewarding at the end “ It is for a great cause , so I just need to suck it up and enjoy the experience” she said.

The climb lasted for an hour and we were back down in the bridge climb museum to listen and learn more about the great work that NBCFA does to raise much needed funds for Breast Cancer research in their goal of reaching 0 deaths by 2030.

CEO Dr Sarah Hosking & with Natalie Barr spoke along with some touching stories of “Breast cancer thrivers”.

Dan Garland thought that the speakers were great and he has a new found sense of how Breast cancer can affect not only families but communities “ You don;t often realise the effort that goes into all of the research behind the scenes, this has been great for us to learn while we also feel that in some small way we truly helped”.
